Somos una colectiva de artistas peruanas Lucia Monge, Gianine Tabja y Gabriela Flores del Pozo, trabajamos juntas desde el 2019. Abordamos problemáticas medioambientales, enfocándonos en el impacto de las industrias extractivas en el territorio Peruano. Por la complejidad de este tema creemos en la colaboración interdisciplinaria y en procesos de investigación de largo plazo. Estos se desarrollan desde FIBRA BioLab donde trabajamos a partir de ingredientes y procesos locales para producir materiales sostenibles a veces creados de la mano con otras especies. Creemos que nuestras prácticas personales nutren la creación colectiva compartiendo lo aprendido a través de talleres, generando redes de intercambio con otras personas y comunidades. Nosotras trenzamos nuestras prácticas y así nos fortalecemos, desde cada una de nuestras fibras generamos impulsos para conectranos y así intercambiar entre nosotras y nuestro entorno .
Ganaron el premio de Producción para Artes Visuales del MINCUL Perú (2019) por su proyecto “Desbosque: desenterrando señales” que se expuso en el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo MAC-Lima (2021), en la 14 Bienal de La Habana (2021-22) y en la exposición colectiva “Le Chant des Forêts”, en MAIF Social Club, París (2022-23). Recibieron el premio de arte y ecología COAL (2021). Organizaron el encuentro internacional “Relaciones entre: Arte, Ecología e Interdisciplinariedad”, Lima (2020). Han sido invitadas a numerosas charlas, residencias y exposiciones Perú, Colombia, Estados Unidos, Cuba y Francia. Su trabajo se ha incluido en los libros: Becoming Fungal (Valiz, 2023), Eco-Lógicas Latinas (Act, 2022) , The Work of Art in the Age of Planetary Destruction (UCL, 2023) entre otras publicaciones.

We are a collective of Peruvian artists, Lucia Monge, Gianine Tabja, and Gabriela Flores del Pozo. We have been working together since 2019. We address environmental issues, focusing on the impact of extractive industries on Peruvian territory. Due to the complexity of this topic, we believe in interdisciplinary collaboration and long-term research processes. These efforts are carried out at FIBRA BioLab, where we work with local ingredients and processes to produce sustainable materials, sometimes in collaboration with other species. We believe that our individual practices nourish collective creation, sharing what we have learned through workshops and creating networks of exchange with other individuals and communities. We braid our practices and thus strengthen our selves, through each of our fibers we connect and exchange in and with our environment.
We were awarded the Visual Arts Production Prize by MINCUL Peru (2019) for our project “Desbosque: unearthing signals,” which was exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art MAC-Lima (2021), the 14th Havana Biennial (2021-22), and the collective exhibition “Le Chant des Forêts” at MAIF Social Club, Paris (2022-23). We also received the COAL art and ecology prize (2021). We organized the international gathering “Interrelations: Art, Ecology, and Interdisciplinarity” in Lima (2020). We have been invited to numerous talks, residencies, and exhibitions in Peru, Colombia, the United States, Cuba, and France. Our work has been featured in books such as “Becoming Fungal” (Valiz, 2023), “Eco-Lógicas Latinas” (Act, 2022), “The Work of Art in the Age of Planetary Destruction” (UCL, 2023), among other publications.
